This very exclusive track bike is carried over for 2013, with a single imperative: Ready to race! That's KTM's slogan. This definition could not better suit this track version of the RC8. The 1190 RC8 R track is a pure track tool, and destined for nothing else. You don't even need to remove the road equipment... there isn't any. This motorcycle was designed for the circuit only, and can be entered as is in a FIM Superstock championship; it is homologated for. It doesn't burden itself with headlights, road-legal tires, or passenger footrests. With the equipment it has on it, you can clock a time immediately after buying it. To get the most out of its large 180 hp twin (a large handful more than the RC8 R), the RC8 R Track features racing suspension from White Power, forged Marchesini rims, monoblock Brembo radial calipers, slick tires, an Akrapovic exhaust, a set of racing parts from the KTM PowerParts competition department (including a quickshifter, a special head gasket, a new wiring harness, etc.), a weight reduced to 173 kilos (9 less), and a white-orange fairing ready to race - you just need to add your sponsors and a race number on it.
