Overview

In 2021, in a world obsessed with horsepower and invasive electronics, the Italika DT 110 Delivery arrives with the ambition of a tractor. This machine is not here to inspire dreams, it is here to work, and its specifications read like an act of resistance against unnecessary complexity. A 107cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine, 7 horsepower at 8000 rpm and a torque of 6.9 Newton meters, here is the portrait of an engine designed to survive decades of urban abuse.

Italika DT 110 Delivery

Its philosophy is inscribed in its components. An inverted fork at the front and two rear shock absorbers, all suspending a chassis that weighs around 90 kilos dry. Drum brakes on both wheels, a technology that Europe has almost forgotten, ensure progressive braking but above all maintenance within reach of a child with an Allen key. The 2.50-17 tires, identical front and rear, are common and inexpensive parts. The 715 mm seat offers an upright and dominant riding position to negotiate the chaos of city center deliveries.

With an 8-liter tank and a top speed announced at 75 km/h, the DT 110 Delivery carves out its territory: the last straight line between the warehouse and the customer, the narrow alleys, the sidewalks climbed to save time. It doesn't purr, it clangs, sending every vibration from the single-cylinder through the frame to remind the delivery driver that they are still alive. The final chain transmission is noisy, dirty, and perfectly suited to makeshift adjustments made between rounds of pastry deliveries.

Comparing this Italika to a Honda CB125F or a Yamaha YBR 125 would be a mistake. These Japanese models are objects of personal mobility, almost aseptic. The DT 110, on the other hand, is a raw tool, the mechanical equivalent of a hammer and chisel. Its price, necessarily contained, is its main argument against more polished Asian competitors. It will not seduce the lover of beautiful mechanics, but it will find an audience among small artisans, resilient couriers and all those for whom a motorcycle must first be an investment that never fails. A soulless machine, but with a heck of a character.
