Overview
One hundred and twenty-five years of American motorcycling calls for noise, chrome, and a touch of glamour. Indian chose to mark the occasion with more than a simple badge stuck on a side panel. The Scout Bobber 125th Anniversary Edition is a limited series of 450 units, produced with the care usually reserved for museum pieces. Two colors, "Black Crystal" and "Anniversary Red," applied by hand to each motorcycle, with over eight hours of paint work per unit. A serial number engraved on a plate housed between the two cylinders. That's the kind of detail that turns a motorcycle into an object.

The design stays true to the American bobber tradition: fenders trimmed to a bare minimum, wide tires in 130/90-16 at the front and 150/80-16 at the rear, a seat height of 665 mm for a flat-footed stance. The silhouette is low and compact, carrying the tension of a machine stripped of everything unnecessary. Indian couldn't resist a few carefully chosen additions: a quilted seat with an embroidered emblem, rims inspired by the Sport Scout RT wheels, and a more sophisticated Pathfinder headlight replacing the stock unit. These are measured touches that dress the bike without weighing it down.
The 1250cc 60° V-twin SpeedPlus engine deserves a closer look, because its power output clearly depends on the market where the bike is registered. In the standard European specification, the Scout Bobber produces 94 horsepower. Across the Atlantic, the same engine is rated at 105 hp. For the Anniversary Edition, Indian decided to push the figure to 111 horsepower at 7,250 rpm — exactly the same output as the sporting Scout 101 — with 109 Nm of torque at 6,300 rpm. Whether this power increase applies to the European market remains to be confirmed, but if the information holds up, it makes for a considerably more compelling proposition against a Harley-Davidson Low Rider S or a Triumph Bonneville Bobber. The steel tubular frame carries 237 kg fully fueled, which is within the segment's norms, and the claimed top speed of 200 km/h gives some indication of the bike's character.

What surprises on a bobber is the onboard equipment. The philosophy of the genre calls for stripped-back simplicity, mechanical essentials without embellishment. Indian opted for a more contemporary interpretation: three riding modes, traction control, ABS, keyless start, cruise control, a 4-inch circular TFT display running Ride Command software, GPS navigation, Bluetooth, USB port, and full LED lighting. This is the "Limited + Tech" package fitted as standard on this edition. For genre purists who want a bare, direct machine, the message may not land well. For enthusiasts who embrace the bobber stance while demanding the comfort of a modern tourer, it's exactly what's needed.

The entry price into this commemorative series is €19,490 — €2,100 above the base Limited + Tech version. That's the price of a numbered, hand-painted object produced in finite quantity. The Scout Bobber 125th Anniversary Edition isn't aimed at the rider looking for their first bike or the track-day enthusiast chasing raw performance. It targets the collector who rides, the American custom aficionado who wants something special in their garage, and who can justify €19,000 for a limited series without needing further explanation.
