Overview
The man. The machine. The time. Made to meet at the edge of roads, dreams, and thirst for conquest. For each, grabbing the handlebars means the beginning of a story, short or eternal, banal or intense. But many would only dream of the everyday backdrop that fades when the thumb presses the starter, the wind sweeping away the concrete to lay the masses of stone and adventure. The adventure touring segment maintains this chimera, and Ducati intends to place its sherpas there. With its MTS, there is plenty to do, in terms of character. A hypersport trail bike, the Multistrada 1200 was first offered a wide range of roads; to the point of openly provoking KTM Adventure and BMW GS with the Enduro version. This time, it's about going even further, looking towards that horizon from which walls of dust rise, laying the knobs where there is no longer a difference between the path and the immensity. This destination is the job for the Pro version of the Multistrada Enduro.
In Bologna, they clearly want to find the scent of herbs and sand, even if a desire for sport cannot be detached from the house's DNA. The factory skillfully transforms the MTS Enduro into a series of modifications that reinforces its adventure touring side… or rather affirms it. Its warm sand color and superb two-tone seat announce the desert, its equipment the need to counter it. The Enduro Pro has its spoke wheels fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires, much more suitable for off-road than the Scorpion Trail tires on the Enduro. The shoulders are protected by a Touratech tubular trellis, adorned with additional headlights. In order to clear visibility on track, this MTS chooses a sport bubble, lower. The sound is released by a Termignoni titanium exhaust. Finally, the Pro is also distinguished by black finish on the alternator and clutch housings. The weight increases by 7 kilos with 261 units full.
The Multistrada Enduro Pro is powered by the large 1200 DVT twin derived natively from the 1198 sportbike. It's not the latest 1262 cm3 block but there's a hefty 152 horsepower and 13 mkg in the connecting rods. That’s enough to devastate any rut, fell a few trees, and disappear much faster than the Sirocco. Largely equipped, the Pro benefits from the equipment installed as standard on the Enduro, namely Skyhook pilot suspensions, 4 Riding Modes (Enduro, Touring, Sport and Urban), the IMU inertial unit and cornering ABS, a 5-inch color TFT screen, full LED lighting, cruise control, traction control, anti-wheeling, a 30-liter tank, a multimedia system with Bluetooth. A large on-board crew, and no more excuses to stay on the asphalt when this Enduro Pro wants to traverse the others, the hard ones, those of the far away. All this for 2000 euros more and a large window open on the azimuths and parallels.
