Overview
Imagine two neighbors from the Emilian plain, separated by barely twenty kilometers, deciding one fine morning to merge their respective DNA on two wheels. On one side Ducati, on the other Lamborghini, both housed under the same roof of the Volkswagen group. The result of this union bears a name that commands attention: Diavel 1260 S Lamborghini, vintage 2021. A series strictly limited to 630 units, rolling out of the Borgo Panigale workshops with the firm intention of turning every parking lot into a motor show. This isn't the first time the Diavel has flirted with the automotive world, having already played the seducer alongside AMG. But here, the approach goes further. The bike doesn't merely borrow a badge — it slips into the skin of the Siàn FKP 37, the hybrid hypercar of which only 63 units will ever see the light of day. The number 63 also appears on the Ducati, a nod to the birth year of the Sant'Agata automotive division, Ferruccio having first made his fortune in tractors before challenging GT manufacturers.

On the styling front, Ducati pulled no punches. The Gea Green livery dresses the fairings while Electrum Gold spreads across the trellis frame, the forged wheels whose design is modeled on those of the Siàn, a seat insert, and the belly pan. The Brembo M50 calipers sport a vivid red, the exhaust line is clad in Y-shaped carbon trim — a graphic signature of the Lambo. The air intakes, radiator scoops, engine guard, fenders, tank cover, seat cowl, headlight surround, and instrument visor all get the carbon treatment. The bull sits proudly on the tank and appears on the 3.5-inch TFT screen as soon as the ignition is switched on, alongside the Ducati crest. The whole package exudes a level of craftsmanship that partly justifies the 34,990-euro price tag — fifty times less than the Siàn, which puts the bill somewhat into perspective.
But how many horses does the Ducati Diavel 1260 S Lamborghini pack beneath its supercar skin? The 1,262 cc L-twin with variable valve timing delivers 162 hp at 9,500 rpm and 129.4 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. With a 13:1 compression ratio, a 106 mm bore, and a 71.5 mm stroke, this supercharged twin pushes the machine to a top speed of 250 km/h. Its 246 kg wet weight remains contained for a muscular cruiser shod with a 240 mm rear tire — nearly as wide as a Lamborghini front tire. The rolling chassis lives up to the asking price: fully adjustable 48 mm Öhlins inverted fork, Öhlins rear mono-shock, dual 320 mm Brembo radially mounted front discs. The seat perched at 780 mm and the 17-liter tank allow for more than just a quick run to the corner café.
The onboard electronics would make some purebred sportbikes blush. Six-axis inertial measurement unit, cornering ABS, traction control, anti-wheelie, launch control, quickshifter, riding and power modes, cruise control, keyless ignition, full LED lighting with daytime running signature, backlit switchgear, and multimedia system. The Diavel Lamborghini spares no expense. Ducati even offers a matching open-face helmet in the same livery, available at extra cost.
This Diavel is aimed at collectors as much as riders. The kind of person who wants to ride astride a rare object, capable of serious performance and guaranteed to turn heads at every gas station. Against a Triumph Rocket 3 or a BMW R 18, it plays a radically different card: less raw torque, but a sportier temperament, a sharper chassis, and limited-edition prestige that no one can dispute. The price stings, availability on the used market is virtually nonexistent, and Ducati maintenance won't cut you any slack. But when you come face to face with that green and gold silhouette, you understand that reason was never part of the brief.
