Overview
When Aprilia decides to offer only one version of its Tuono 660, it’s either an admission of weakness or an act of absolute confidence. In the case of the Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory 2025, it’s clearly the latter. The Factory label has always designated, within the Noale manufacturer, the most accomplished version of a range, the one you choose when you don’t want to have regrets. And this time, Aprilia has simply eliminated the standard version, judging that the Factory was sufficient for everyone. It’s radical, assumed, and ultimately quite consistent with the philosophy of the machine.

This 659 cc parallel-twin is at the heart of the project. Offset by 270 degrees, it produces a sound and characteristic backfiring of a V-twin, while retaining the compactness of an inline engine. The 105 horsepower obtained thanks to throttle bodies measuring 52 mm represents a real progression compared to previous generations, and the 67 Nm of torque expresses itself freely throughout the rev range. Above all, with a wet weight of 181 kg, the power-to-weight ratio reaches a level that few middleweights can claim. A Kawasaki Z650 RS or a Yamaha MT-07 simply don’t play in the same league on this point. The Tuono 660 Factory costs 12,999 euros, positioning it clearly above a standard Yamaha MT-07, but below a KTM 890 Duke R. This price is justified by the level of equipment.
The suspension is an argument in itself in an Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory test. The 2025 version features adjustable Kayaba suspension with compression, rebound, and preload, with an inverted 41 mm fork. It’s one step below the Öhlins NIX/STX units of the most recent editions, but more than sufficient for committed road use. Four-piston Brembo calipers at the front complement precise, modulable braking, supported by a multi-map cornering ABS that monitors lateral acceleration and roll angles in real time. On a winding road, it’s transparent and effective.
The APRC electronic arsenal constitutes the other massive argument of the Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory technical specifications. Launch control, adjustable traction control ATC, anti-wheelie AWC, bidirectional quickshifter AQS, adjustable engine brake AEB, and various engine maps AEM form a package that some 15,000-euro sportbikes struggle to match. A six-axis inertial unit pilots all of this with a real-time assessment of the situation. For a 660 cc motorcycle, it’s high-end equipment transposed to the mid-range, in the tradition of Aprilia, which has always known how to trickle down RSV4 technology to its more accessible models. A 35 kW restricted version exists for A2 license holders, which opens the Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory A2 to a young audience who get a complete machine on the day of their A license.

The cockpit has gained a five-inch screen with anti-glare treatment, and the backlit handlebar controls have been redesigned. The optional monoplace seat frees up more space for the rider and its repositioning towards the rear improves the chase on the road. The double front fairing is not only for aesthetics: it channels the air to stabilize the machine at high speed, announced at 220 km/h, while diverting engine heat flow away from the rider. It’s a detail, but on a long summer ride, it counts. The Tuono 660 Factory 2025 is aimed at an experienced rider who wants a lightweight, precise, fully equipped motorcycle, and capable of competing with higher displacement machines in the mountain passes. It’s not cheap, but it doesn’t cheat either.
