Overview
At the top of Yamaha’s 2-stroke motocross lineup, the YZ 250 also features the "50th Anniversary" graphics to celebrate the presence of the YZ models for half a century. With its anniversary white livery inspired by the 1990s, purple/pink motifs, purple seat, and black rims, it pays homage to all previous generations, especially those of the 90s.
With this "Anniversary White" color scheme, this motocross wasp shows a more fun and much more cheerful side than the omnipresent dark blue at Yam. Some will feel a "beach-sunrise-Florida-style" feeling or a new pride with this special color scheme.
No specific parts, technical improvements, or bonuses for this "Monster." The engine and chassis are rigorously identical to the standard model. Which, by the way, benefited from a good update in 2022. Yamaha refined the bodywork, installed a flatter seat, improved braking with a new, more effective front caliper and a lighter rear disc, recalibrated the suspension, and shed a little weight thanks to a new sprocket and a different clutch lever. As with all "50th Anniversary" motocross bikes, the 250 will require a few hundred euros extra. The total bill starts to sting but we already have a nice tool, among the most accessible in the category.
