Overview
The Trident 660 Tribute Edition is back. The first edition in 2024 proved to be very interesting: a striking design and more equipment... for the same price. It was only intended to be offered for one year. But it seems that success has changed Triumph's position.
Here is the 2026 Tribute – Yes, Triumph is a little ahead of its model years. The 67 retains its prominent place in the design, alongside a blue squad. The white has disappeared in favor of black sections, while a Diablo red takes over the rims.
Essentially, a more vibrant echo of the 2024 livery. Where the prominent 67 was not chosen at random. It was the race number of the "Slippery Sam" - a 1970s race bike competing in the Production class. After a few setbacks, the machine became a real bogeyman on the Isle of Man. In its category, it won the TT five consecutive times, from 1971 to 1975.
Let's go back to the Tribute. Is this 2nd edition as generous as the first? There are bonuses but it’s less generous than before. On the initiator, Triumph added the Up & Down quickshifter. This is now standard equipment. Because, based on the latest version of the Trident, the Tribute receives the same '25 additions, namely the quickshifter, an additional Riding Mode, cruise control, the Bluetooth connectivity module and an inertial measurement unit to make the ABS and traction control reactive in corners.
Thus, the Trident Tribute truly stands out from the standard model with its bodywork, its two-piece aluminum engine guard and its small windscreen, add-ons established by the first Tribute. Except this time, Hinckley isn't giving them away and increases the price by 150 euros. This inflation remains reasonable, given everything that has been added to the Trident recently (for Euro5+ passage) and makes it even more attractive with enriched equipment.
The little English bike offers an interesting touch of originality by being the only roadster in its category powered by a three-cylinder engine. With a displacement of 660 cm3, it delivers 81 horsepower at 10,250 rpm. A calibrated output for its audience (it can deliver more on the Daytona, intended for a sporty clientele). Not too heavy and agile, the Trident weighs 190 kg ready to ride and is built around a steel trellis frame, an inverted fork and a Showa shock absorber, Nissin brakes where two-piston calipers bite 310 mm discs and 17-inch wheels fitted with 120 and 180 tires.
Let's conclude with the onboard electronics, which are not bad at all for an entry-level bike. We have already seen the presence of cruise control, the quickshifter, cornering ABS and machine-smartphone interaction. Let's not forget the three Riding Modes (Rain, Sport or Road), the switchable traction control, all LED lighting and a hybrid LCD/TFT color screen. For young license holders, this special series can also be restricted to A2.
