Overview

A noticeable reduction in price, increased power, and a significant update are planned for the first evolution of the TF 250-X. For 2026, the machine receives a series of technical improvements designed to optimize performance, refine throttle response, and offer an even more competitive rider experience. More powerful, more connected, and more precise, this updated version raises the bar even higher in the 250 cm³ class.

The heart of this evolution lies in the work carried out on the engine. Thanks to a completely revised ECU mapping, the TF 250-X delivers more progressive power, with noticeably sharper throttle response across the entire RPM range. The result: faster starts, more incisive acceleration out of corners, and a more direct mechanical feel.

This update is accompanied by a new high-performance Exedy clutch, offering a more positive engagement, better endurance in extreme conditions, and increased torque capacity. The 5-speed gearbox is still paired with a Brembo hydraulic clutch and a quickshifter that allows shifting from 2nd to 5th gear without using the clutch.

Triumph has anticipated new international regulations on sound emissions by completely redesigning the airbox and silencer. The new system guarantees more efficient airflow and a sound signature faithful to the Triumph identity, while remaining compliant with the latest FIM/AMA standards.

Paired with a redesigned and more accessible air filter, this new system actively participates in the faster revving of the single-cylinder engine and its more responsive behavior in racing.

The TF 250-X still relies on an ultra-light aluminum chassis, with a twin-spar central frame and hydroformed swingarm. But for 2026, the suspension settings have been revised to improve mid-corner behavior, increase stability in curves, and strengthen the overall chassis balance.

It retains its high-end components, including 48 mm KYB AOS forks, machined 7075-T6 aluminum clamps, and a fully adjustable separate reservoir rear shock. The linkage system has also been optimized to guarantee consistent performance on the most demanding terrains.

The high-performance 250 cm³ engine delivers up to 48 horsepower at 13,500 rpm, a benchmark figure in its class. With its forged König piston, Del West titanium valves, and friction-reducing treatments (DLC, carbon coatings, and magnesium covers), the Triumph engine combines lightness, explosiveness, and reliability.

Engine management is ensured by the Athena ECU associated with GET Power Assist, integrating Launch Control, Traction Control, and selectable maps. The motorcycle is also compatible with the MX Tune Pro application, which allows access to real-time engine data, adjustment of the mapping, and remote diagnosis of the machine via Wi-Fi module.

The TF 250-X 2026 makes no compromises on equipment:

Aesthetically, the TF 250-X features a brand new molded graphic kit, in a striking "Triumph Performance Yellow" that affirms the machine’s sleek and modern style. The 2026 design is in line with the desire to strengthen Triumph’s visual identity on the circuits.

Developed in close collaboration with Ricky Carmichael and Iván Cervantes, the TF 250-X has proven itself from its debut, securing podiums in AMA Supercross and in MX2 in the MXGP world championship.

For those aiming for ultimate performance, a complete range of racing accessories is offered, including:

The Triumph TF 250-X 2026 is offered at a price of €10,595. It is available for order now at specialized motocross Triumph dealers. First deliveries are scheduled for summer 2025.
