Overview
After a remarkable entry into the cross-country arena, Triumph is now tackling another sector of off-road thrills. More escape, more nature, a greater scope of challenges with a TF 250-E dedicated to the virtues of enduro riding.
Like the 450, Triumph has taken care to fully develop this motorcycle in-house, with the collaboration of leading experts in the field. Designed with five-time world champion Iván Cervantes and four-time world enduro champion Paul Edmondson, the TF 250-E and TF 450-E share a unique lightweight aluminum chassis, designed to combine agility and robustness. The new low-profile frame offers exceptional handling and stability on all terrains.
The 250 is equipped with high-end components and benefits from the latest off-road technologies, as well as optimized ergonomics for the rider and a style inspired by competition. An elegant livery, Triumph Performance Yellow graphics, and integrated LED lighting give the motorcycles a bold and aggressive look that stands out on the starting line.
Drawing on Triumph’s reputation for excellence and reliability, the TF 250-E will also benefit from first-class support, backed by a global network of specialized dealers and a 24/7 parts ordering and supply system.
Triumph has developed a formidable single-cylinder engine, designed for exceptional performance.
The all-new Triumph 250 enduro engine is the most powerful in its class. It offers responsive and manageable power, as well as a determined character. It is perfectly suited to technical sections and tight enduro challenges, and ideal for riders seeking accessible fun and performance.
With a power output of 42.3 hp and a torque of 27.8 Nm, a wide power curve, and a strong low-end, the TF 250-E excels in low-speed technical sections and reaches a powerful maximum rev of 12,800 rpm.
The engine has been developed to offer inertia greater than that of a motocross engine, providing more stable and manageable power in varied and unpredictable racing conditions. The Exedy six-speed racing clutch complements this system, allowing for smooth gear changes without clutch slipping, preserving momentum in technical and tight sections.
Advanced injection and ignition systems efficiently manage power, ensuring instant throttle response and reliable performance during demanding rides. A custom 44 mm Dellorto carburetor offers an air bypass for cold starts and adjustable idle speed.
Del West titanium valves and a König forged aluminum piston ensure consistent performance even at high revs, significantly reducing maintenance needs.
Triumph and Athena combined their extensive off-road experience to create a perfect synergy, resulting in the development of new software strategies focusing on handling and maneuverability. The TF250-E engine management system features a fully custom software. This new system benefits from mapping and traction control strategies jointly developed by Triumph and Athena to optimize performance and reliability.
The dual engine mapping adapts performance to different conditions with a simple button press, giving the rider the ability to adapt and excel in racing conditions. It is possible to switch between two distinct engine maps on the fly: one for aggressive performance, and another for smoother, more controlled riding on technical terrain. Additional maps can also be added via the optional Wi-Fi module and Triumph MX Tune Pro app.
The TF 250-E’s lightweight stainless steel exhaust system incorporates a Helmholtz resonator in the collector, improving air evacuation in the cylinders and performance.
This model is equipped with Triumph’s unique lightweight aluminum frame, offering optimized mass, rigidity, and a low center of gravity. This frame delivers exceptional agility, increased stability at high speed, and precise directional control, ensuring confidence. Post-fabrication machining improves dimensional accuracy, while the frame benefits from in-house artisan TIG welding.
The fully adjustable 48 mm KYB coil spring fork and the 3-way adjustable linkage rear suspension are specifically designed for the challenges of enduro riding, ensuring reactive control, excellent power transfer, and maximum traction in the most demanding conditions. With a 10 mm reduction compared to Triumph’s motocross models and optimized settings, it offers an exceptional balance between handling and bump absorption, while minimizing body roll in corners.
Easy to adjust and maintain, this market-leading suspension offers great adaptability to rider weight and riding style, as well as exceptional adaptability to varied terrains, from muddy tracks to rocky trails.
The enduro-specific swingarm geometry ensures precise front-end return, allowing riders to make quick adjustments to clear obstacles and offering intuitive and inspiring handling, both for competition and adventure.
The new TF 250-E aims to be the best in its class. It is equipped with an impressive selection of high-end specifications and cutting-edge technologies, optimizing performance in all conditions.
These controls are accessible via intuitive handlebar controls, featuring illuminated buttons for quick and easy adjustments. The digital speedometer displays real-time data, including engine temperature, trip information, and gear ratio.
The advanced traction control system monitors rear wheel slip and modulates power for consistent grip on unpredictable surfaces. Optimized launch control manages the delivered torque to maximize traction at the start, allowing riders to achieve consistent and competitive starts. The Quickshifter, designed by Triumph, allows for smooth clutchless upshifts between the second and sixth gear, for uninterrupted power delivery and preserving momentum in critical race sections.
Among the other standard-fit high-end components are the Galfer performance braking system with 260 mm front and 220 mm rear brake discs, paired with a 24 mm double-piston Brembo floating front caliper, a 26 mm single-piston floating rear caliper, and an adjustable reach brake lever.
The TF 250-E is shod with Michelin Enduro 2 tires, featuring an innovative tread pattern offering improved grip and traction, designed for varied (soft to hard) terrains and conditions (muddy to dry). Aluminum D.I.D DirtStar series 7000 rims, with black anodized finish, and lightweight cast and machined aluminum hubs of Triumph design complete the look.
Designed to meet the demands of competition and long rides, the TF 250-E is engineered to optimize rider performance and comfort.
The Pro Taper handlebar with adjustable fixings allows the rider to personalize the fit and feel, perfecting the positioning between the handlebar, seat, and footrests. This minimizes fatigue, improves control in tight turns, and reduces rider tension when standing for extended periods. The ODI semi-knurled lock-on grips offer exceptional grip and durability, ensuring optimal control in all conditions.
The 955 mm seat height offers optimal ground clearance while maintaining a maneuverable riding position in technical sections, while the Pyramid anti-slip seat provides excellent grip and a rubberized consistency for better positioning in both wet and dry conditions. The ergonomic design and high-quality foam padding provide superior comfort, allowing riders to ride longer without discomfort. The seat cover is highly resistant to wear, making it ideal for off-road conditions.
Robust, high-performing, and resolutely race-ready, the enduro model boasts clean lines and an aggressive look. It features a minimalist and aggressive livery, developed and manufactured in-house by Triumph, combining lightness and durability. Competition-inspired graphics, in Triumph Performance yellow, black and white, and magnesium engine covers, which also facilitate trackside maintenance, complete the look.
The 8.3-liter tank offers extended range for long adventures, and the compact integrated LED lights improve visibility in low-light conditions.
The new Triumph Enduro range is fully road legal and can be converted into a competition machine on closed circuit*. For riders wishing to fully exploit the potential of their TF 250-E or TF 450-E, Triumph’s global network of Motocross and Enduro specialist centers offers expert race preparation services, ensuring that your motorcycle meets competition standards.
Orders can be placed now at Triumph motocross and enduro centers, and the motorcycle will be available from April 2025.
