Overview

Triumph completes its off-road lineup with a TF 250-C for cross-country competition. Neither it nor its 450 model is intended for everyone, and a select few countries have been chosen to showcase their capabilities: the United States, Canada, France, and New Zealand.

Developed in collaboration with renowned riders and tested on terrains worldwide, the TF 250-C combines the DNA of motocross with the endurance of cross-country riding. Designed for riders who aim high in cross-country or tackle technical trails, this motorcycle offers the agility, torque, and endurance needed to hold the distance and arrive in a top position.

The engine of the TF 250 is optimized for cross-country use thanks to two engine maps (three with the optional MX Tune Pro module), optimized torque, and race-ready durability. The lightweight, custom chassis, premium suspension with cross-country settings, and the large 8.3-liter fuel tank offer even more agility and endurance. To give riders an extra advantage, state-of-the-art electronic equipment and rider aids enhance control and confidence on changing terrains.

At the heart of the TF 250-C is a highly performant single-cylinder engine, offering the best power-to-weight ratio in its class within the cross-country segment.

The English block features a flexible and controllable torque for technical terrains, linear power for precision on singletracks, and explosive acceleration for high-speed races. Forged aluminum pistons, DelWest titanium valves, and adamantin (DLC) carbon treatments reduce friction and improve durability. Lightweight magnesium covers and advanced cooling systems ensure consistent performance, making these engines as responsive as they are robust.

Designed for precision and control, the TF 250-C is equipped with a 250 cm3 high-revving four-stroke single-cylinder engine developing 47.3 hp at 13,250 rpm and 28.3 Nm at 9,250 rpm, making it the ideal choice for riders who enjoy technical terrains and quick transitions.

A high-capacity clutch with hard anodized basket, Brembo hydraulic calipers and master cylinders with Galfer discs, as well as a five-speed gearbox with quickshifter, offer flawless control and endurance. The narrow engine design improves interaction with the brake pedal, giving riders the confidence to push harder on varied terrains.

Specifically adapted to the rigors of GNCC-type races and long-duration endurance events, the unique aluminum frame features two backbones and a lightweight construction that maximizes strength without compromising responsiveness.

Paired with optimized off-road suspension and a rider-focused geometry, the chassis offers a high level of adjustability to adapt to different rider styles and preferences, allowing them to go further, ride longer, and maintain control in all conditions.

Designed to meet the requirements of cross-country multi-terrain competitions with a standing start, the TF 250-C is equipped with a selection of high-end components and advanced electronics. Offering a competitive advantage, it benefits from engine management controlled by an app, two engine maps, a launch control, traction control, and a quickshifter for clutchless gear changes between the second and fifth gears. These rider aids allow for perfect adaptation to changing terrain and race strategy, reinforcing confidence and control at every stage of the course.

Suspension performance is ensured by the renowned KYB AOS coil spring system, which includes an air-oil separation for consistent damping and precise handling. Black anodized D.I.D DirtStar series 7000 aluminum rims are paired with lightweight hubs designed by Triumph and Dunlop Geomax AT82 off-road tires, offering exceptional grip, agility, and durability on all types of terrain.

Other race-ready features include ODI Lock-On grips, a ProTaper Evo MX Alloy handlebar, and an Exedy racing clutch for precise engagement under pressure. A 44mm Dell'Orto throttle body and the Triumph ECU, developed in partnership with Athena, optimize engine performance, while a TwinAir washable air filter simplifies maintenance. The TF 250-C is also equipped with 8.3-liter translucent fuel tanks, enduro handguards, robust protections, and a side stand, completing a package designed for uncompromising off-road performance.
