Can a motorcycle be a legend without being the most powerful or sophisticated? The Suzuki SV 650 N, particularly in its 2008 version, proves that it’s possible. It rests on a simple, almost archaic formula that has been the key to this roadster’s success since its launch in 1999. A steel trellis frame, a 90° V-twin engine of 645 cc, and a driving philosophy without frills. With 74 horsepower at 9000 rpm and a torque of 62.8 Nm available fairly high at 7500 rpm, it doesn't overwhelm the competition's specifications. But that’s precisely what makes its charm. This engine, a true beating heart, offers a wide usable range and instinctive driveability. It sings, it vibrates, it communicates, unlike four-cylinder engines that are sometimes too refined.
