Overview

This year, the V7 range has returned to a certain simplicity. Two models, one 'classic' and the other a little more retro-modern. With, as a bonus, a much more valiant engine, belaying the denomination of these Guzzi motorcycles. They ride with the same 850 cm3 as the V9 and V85 TT; however, with less power and temperament to better suit their vocation.

Not quite two versions in 2021... You must add the Centenario special edition. A V7 Stone that Mandello has groomed to make it an ambassador of its centenary. Wow… 100 years is quite a feat for this small manufacturer that sells only about two thousand motorcycles per year in France; whose first V7 (1967) spectacularly marked its time; which was particularly innovative at the time, among other things with its V8 Ottocilindri.

This spectacular (and endless) Grand Prix machine has transmitted its colors to the modern V7 commemorative model. The tank is exactly the same matte gray, gaining here the emblem of the eagle in gold finish. The seat shares an identical brown hue. As for the front fender and side panels, they recover the pale green of the immense fairing of the 1955 competition machine.

Note (regret?) a certain restraint in this evocation of a past glory. Moto-Guzzi shows itself almost chaste for the decoration of this special series. Nothing to do with the colorful festival of the V 85 Evocative Graphics. Remains the final small touch with the centenary logo placed on the fender, and the brand name embroidered in gold letters at the estuary of the seat.

This V7 celebration will only be marketed this year, just like the V 85 and V9 Bobber sharing this heritage. If the same engine block powers the three, it stipulates a herd of 65 horsepower on the most accessible of Guzzis. The transverse V-twin smells of authenticity, the piston strokes in time and the watts in the cardan. Modernity is also present with an LED headlight signature in an agile shape, a two-channel ABS and traction control.
