Overview

Motorcycle: KTM 125 EXC Six Days (2013)

The KTM 125 EXC is READY TO RACE for the world’s premier enduro championship, the famous “International Six Days Enduro.” Six consecutive days, more than a thousand kilometers of terrain, in the saddle for 40 hours: that’s a grueling test not just for the rider. The 2013 125 EXC Six Days can be prepared with a whole range of high-end accessories for this exceptionally demanding race, at the start of which, every year, half the riders bet on KTM. KTM 125 EXC Six Days – the only authentic one with the orange frame of the KTM factory team.

Airbox

The airbox of the KTM 125 EXC Six Days offers the 2013 model maximum airflow for minimal dust or splashes. Changing the Twin-Air filter takes approximately 15 seconds, without tools. Absolutely “READY TO RACE.”

Frame

For its enduro models, KTM relies on high-quality, lightweight, chromoly steel profiled frames. Unlike the trend of visible aluminum chassis seen with other manufacturers, we equipped the 2013 KTM 125 EXC Six Days with a high-tech steel frame. More robust, but also approx. 0.5 kg (1.1 lb.) lighter than competitor frames. Furthermore, it proves easier to maintain and offers more space for the tank and other components. Combined with the PDS rear shock absorber, rear wheel impacts are absorbed and dissipated in an optimal way. The super-light, one-piece aluminum die-cast swingarm and its revolutionary geometry ensure absolute torsional rigidity and targeted flexibility for maximum damping comfort.

Individual Suspension Adjustment

Each model has an individual suspension setting, perfectly matched to the weight and engine. At the rear, a PDS shock absorber from WP Suspension with a direct linkage above the swingarm. The wide adjustment range of the fork rebound and the Highspeed and Lowspeed compression damping are standard on KTM.

New Fork Development

The 2013 KTM Six Days models benefit from a completely new 48 mm (1.89 in) Closed Cartridge fork from WP Suspension. This new patented WP 4-Chamber (4CS) technology not only offers decisive advantages in terms of damping response and consistency, but is also lighter and much easier to maintain than conventional closed cartridge models. This fork will easily tackle the most insane trails and obstacles. Another advantage: it takes just a few clicks to simply adapt the fork to the track and rider, and that at the top of the fork: compression on the left side, rebound on the right side.

Premium Wheels

High-quality CNC-machined hubs are standard on all KTM wheels. The new aluminum rims from GIANT, made from an extremely robust 7050 aluminum, now feature the exclusive Six Days logo. The new MAXXIS FIM tires specially designed for KTM provide excellent grip, very precise handling and good longevity.

Fork Tubes

All Six Days models benefit in 2013 from one-piece machined fork tubes with very refined finishes. Not only do they have a remarkable look with their orange anodizing, but they are primarily designed to optimize the response and consistency of the damping of the new fork, for a final influence on the overall behavior of the bike.

Bodywork

The KTM 125 EXC Six Days features bodywork with a refined ergonomics and very good contact points between the rider and the machine. It offers unlimited freedom of movement. The 2013 model is distinguished by new graphics in the colors of the ISDE in Germany.
