Overview
At Harley, access to large displacement engines is through the Dyna range. The Super Glide is certainly the machine best suited to introduce you to the throbbing of the big Twin Cam. The Custom version likes chrome and subtle nods to style. Spoke rims, a single front brake disc, a low seat, a devastating look; what more could you want? Initiator of the "factory custom" movement, the Dyna Super Glide Custom is not really one, but more a large 1690 cm3 Sportster, with a large amount of torque and vibrations contained by silent blocks (the 103 Cubic Inches engine is mounted flexibly in the steel double cradle frame). 2014 brought it the few cm3 that it lacked to play in the same displacement as the family's other models. A few millimeters of bore and here is the Twin Cam cheerful again. Enough to make it more demonstrative. You can have a little fun on the saddle of this Dyna but not too much, the average braking and the lateral friction are natural calming agents to too much enthusiasm. A pity. Since 2006, the machine has been equipped with a wider rear tire (160) with a 17" wheel, a larger diameter fork; and in 2007, a new Fat Bob-style tank. With a price close to 15,000 euros, the Super Glide Custom is one of the most accessible "big Harleys" but surely not the least interesting.
