Overview
The Benelli TnT Titanium 1130 is a bit of an Italian outburst materialized in two wheels. It’s 2008, and the manufacturer from Pesaro decides to push its roadster proposition beyond the reasonable, cladding it in parts that sound like a declaration of war. Forget chrome or brushed aluminum, here we’re talking titanium, carbon fiber, and Ergal. The dry clutch, visible behind its open housing, the rear monoshock with a lightweight alloy body, the specific exhaust line, all scream for lightness and mechanical exhibitionism. It’s ostentatious, almost vulgar, and terribly seductive for those who like to see technology at work.

At the heart of this extravagance, the inline three-cylinder engine of 1130 cm³ receives a little boost. It now roars with 141 horsepower at 9500 rpm, with a torque of 119.6 Nm that arrives fairly high, at 7750 rpm. The promise is clear: you need to rev it out to extract it, but when you’re there, the mechanics deliver a frank and powerful sound. Paired with a fairly wide usable rev range, this engine gives the TnT Titanium a more sporty and demanding character than that of its standard little sister. The weight gain of six kilos, to reach 193 kg dry, also contributes to this feeling of reinforced efficiency.
On paper, the chassis seems up to the task of this muscular engine. A steel trellis frame, an inverted 50 mm fork fully adjustable, radial braking at the front with 320 mm discs and four-piston calipers… The ingredients are those of a serious machine. But this weight, even reduced, remains an adversary. With 213 kg fully fueled, it weighs heavily against more agile competitors such as a Triumph Speed Triple of the time or an MV Agusta Brutale. The Benelli TnT Titanium imposes an engaged ride, where you have to fight a little against its mass, especially in the city or in tight corners.
So, who is this exuberant Italian aimed at? Certainly not a beginner, nor a motorcyclist seeking discretion or cold efficiency. At 22,495 euros at the time, it was an object of passion, a vehicle for lovers of bare mechanics and bold designs. It’s the motorcycle you buy with your heart, for its unique character, its fiery temperament, and its technological freak show aesthetics. It will never be the most accomplished or the easiest to live with, but for those seeking a roadster with a raw soul and a race shop look, the Benelli TnT Titanium 1130 remains an unforgettable and emotionally charged proposition.
