Overview
When Noale decides to build a roadster, it doesn't seek to please everyone. The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory 2019 is proof that some engineers grew up with circuit posters on their walls rather than mundane family displacements. Born from the entrails of the RSV4, boosted to 1077 cc, equipped with a V4 that releases 175 horsepower at 13,000 rpm and 121 Nm at 11,000 rpm, this machine was not designed to flatter the ego of beginners. It is aimed at those who know what they are doing, or who are ready to learn quickly and at their own expense.

What distinguishes the Factory version from the standard model is not just a matter of gold colors or Superpole graphics. The difference is measured in the quality of the rolling chassis. The Öhlins NIX inverted fork, 400 grams lighter than the previous generation, works here in semi-active mode thanks to Smart EC 2.0 technology. The TTX 36 shock receives the same treatment. Specifically, this means that the electronics read data from sensors in real time and adapt the behavior of the suspension according to the chosen mode, Road, Sport or Track. For those who prefer to keep their hands on, manual adjustment remains available. You compose your own parameters, you validate, and you get an Öhlins in the old style, without algorithmic interference. This duality is a real strength compared to competitors like the KTM 1290 Super Duke R or the BMW M 1000 R, which offer high-performance electronics but less configurable within this price range.
The electronic arsenal of the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory 2019 goes far beyond suspension management. Traction control ATC is adjustable in eight levels, the AWC anti-wheelie gains precision thanks to the IMU inertial unit, launch control ALC assists standing starts in three levels, and the bidirectional AQS quickshifter eliminates the clutch both up and down. Cornering ABS, coupled with the rear wheel lift-up control, completes a picture that would make many faired hypersports blush. At 18,000 euros, the price positioning is high but consistent with this level of equipment. For those looking for an Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory used, earlier versions than 2019 offer an interesting alternative, even if they do not include the semi-active suspensions of this year.
The double-beam aluminum frame accommodates the 204 kg all full with a disconcerting ease for such a powerful machine. The short wheelbase of 1442 mm gives a frank, almost aggressive agility, which the 825 mm seat height makes accessible to various builds without diluting the sporty character of the whole. The 330 mm brake discs bitten by 32 mm radial Brembo M50 calipers stop the beast with surgical precision. The 200 mm Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa rear tire sends a clear message about the machine's intentions.
The Tuono is often spoken of as the ultimate roadster, and the label fits provided you accept its terms. It is not a versatile mount for urban commuting, nor a travel companion with saddlebags. It is a machine tailored for trajectories, frank accelerations and winding roads swallowed at a sustained pace. Anyone who has closely followed the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory on forums or in comparisons since its beginnings knows that every evolution has strengthened this identity without ever diluting it. The 2019 version does not deviate from this rule. It demands respect, commitment, and it returns that tenfold to those who know how to tame it.
