What distinguishes the XT version from its base is a touch of adventurer in kit form. Suzuki adds spoked wheels, an engine guard – a bit symbolic, but which sets the tone – and handguards. This adds three kilograms to a total weight of 213 kg, but gives it a more determined look. For the rest, it retains the same aluminum perimeter frame, the same adjustable windscreen, the same 20-liter tank, and the same assists such as Easy Start and traction control. The question of the price of a Suzuki V-Strom 650XT then arises naturally: at €8,999, it positions itself as a serious option against competitors such as the Yamaha Tracer 700 or the Kawasaki Versys 650. Its audience? Those who want a motorcycle to do everything: daily urban use, two-wheeled travel, and even escapades on modest trails thanks to its 170 mm ground clearance and trail-sized tires (110/80-R19 front, 150/70-R17 rear). It is not a specialist in off-road riding, but it allows you to escape without complexes. What’s missing? A center stand, still absent as standard, and perhaps a little more character for those seeking raw emotion. But for the majority, the V-Strom 650XT is precisely this machine without surprises, reliable, versatile and reasonable, the price of which – the price of the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT – is clear, and whose limits are known, which makes it a companion for every day rather than a capricious muse.
