Overview

Suzuki will have to lift the veil on its bagger episode in Europe. Certain standards have not been met and the C 1500 T continues freely without hope of passing Euro4. This type of machine is gaining followers (especially in Uncle Sam’s country). To satisfy demand in our dealerships, it is mainly found at Harley and Indian. In the States, the offer is denser, with Yamaha Road Star Silverado and other Honda Interstate models. Then Suzuki joined in with this C 1500 T Intruder.

What boulevard does this touring custom emerge from? Very dark, with discreet elegance, it seems reluctant to draw attention to itself. Consequently, it intrigues even more. Suzuki apparently took and adapted the base of the former M 1500 Intruder (whose career was very short) to design this machine. To meet the desire for escapades, the custom features a pair of rigid saddlebags as well as a substantial windscreen. Protection promises to be remarkable, and the luggage will be able to carry more than usual for a custom. The cylinders positioned on generous footpegs flirting with the crankshaft cases and the seat nestled on a generous saddle, a senatorial rhythm will impose itself.

What custom says twin. The C 1500 T is powered by a long-stroke 1462 cm3 liquid-cooled twin with dual butterfly injection, single ACT and 4 valves per cylinder. Taken from the former M 1500 Intruder, the engine offers power close to 80 horsepower. What interests us more is its torque, whose peak of 13.1 mkg is reached at only 2600 rpm.

363 kilograms braked by a single brake disc??? Fortunately, the primary purpose of a bagger is not performance. This Touring Intruder offers a shaft drive, a few chrome accents, complete instrumentation and a formidable 200 mm rear tire. True to its policy of aggressive pricing, Suzuki offers its C 1500 T Intruder at a price much more affordable than the Milwaukee references. Don’t bother looking, it’s the least expensive bagger on the market.
