Overview
When an Italian legend of the curve meets the iconic blue of a French automobile manufacturer, the result can only be a desirable object. The MV Agusta Superveloce 800 Alpine is more than a simple limited edition; it’s a statement, a bridge built between two cultures of pure speed. Imagine the agility of an A110 on two wheels, dressed in this signature hue that makes enthusiasts tremble. For approximately €35,700, MV Agusta offers a machine where emotion takes precedence over rationality.

Under its hypnotic blue fairing, the mechanics remain faithful to the legendary triple of the house. The 798 cm3 engine produces 147 horsepower at 13,000 rpm, with a torque of 88 Nm available high in the rev range. The real pleasure begins with the included racing kit, which releases 153 horsepower and lightens the beast by 8 kg, bringing it to 173 kg dry weight. A ballerina, yes, but a ballerina that roars with an Arrow triple exhaust. Faced with a competitor like the Ducati SuperSport, more versatile and less expensive, the Superveloce Alpine embraces its role as a mechanical work of art, tailored for sensory pleasure and the straight lines of the imagination.
The chassis, a clever blend of steel tubular trellis and aluminum plates, offers track aggression tempered by a certain elegance. The 43 mm inverted fork and Brembo radial braking are up to the performance level, but one might regret the absence of more exclusive components at this price. Where are the carbon rims or the magnesium swingarm found on similar-priced Italian bikes? The electronic equipment is complete, with a quickshifter, 8-level traction control, and the MV Ride app, but it is mainly the kit of rare parts – CNC fuel cap, cover, certificate – that flatters the owner’s ego.

This MV Agusta Superveloce 800 Alpine is aimed at the collector, the aesthete for whom a motorcycle is a kinetic sculpture. With only 110 copies, it is not intended to be the queen of the circuit or the Sunday road. Its audience is those who vibrate for history, for the rare marriage of timeless design and an impeccable pedigree. It is a fantasy machine, demanding and impractical, but with an absolute stage presence. It does not compete with an Aprilia RS 660 in terms of performance/price ratio; it simply exists to prove that beauty still has a price, and that it is paid in cash.
