Overview
What does another limited series MV Agusta signify? Simply celebrating a legend, when that legend is called Giacomo Agostini. The Superveloce 800 AGO is more than just a bodywork scheme in sun colors. It’s a quantified, almost obsessive tribute: 311 units for as many victories, 15 stars on the fuel cap for his world titles. The aura of the “God” hangs over every screw, and that’s precisely what justifies its price tag of €31,500. You’re not buying a simple motorcycle, but a fragment of history.

Under the retro-futuristic bodywork, the 798 cm³ three-cylinder engine is a piece of Swiss watchmaking. With 151 horsepower at 13,200 rpm and 88 Nm of torque, it’s anything but a rolling museum. The counter-rotating crankshaft, titanium valves, and sophisticated electronics (8-level traction control, wheelie control, launch control) make it a cutting-edge mechanical system. The supplied Arrow racing kit releases this power and offers an enchanting sound at the outlet of the triple silencers, where the “Ago” name is discreetly engraved. It is here that the MV Agusta Superveloce 800 AGO reveals its duality: vintage elegance served by hypermodern technology.
The Öhlins suspensions, in a 43 mm NIX fork and TTX shock absorber, are a first on the Superveloce and transform the experience. Combined with the trellis frame and a dry weight of 173 kg, they promise rail-like precision, far beyond the simple role of aesthetic accessory. The Öhlins steering damper and the new forged aluminum fork head confirm this quest for efficiency. Radial Brembo braking and spoked wheels complete a chassis that seems designed for the track, despite a seat height of 830 mm which remains accessible.

The true audience for this machine? The enlightened collector, the aesthete passionate about history, the one who sees beyond the performance/price ratio. Because at this price, you’ll find more radical and much more powerful competitors. But none offer this alchemy between heritage, embodied by Agostini’s signature on the tank and the carbon fiber details, and the frenzy of a three-cylinder engine screaming at 13,000 rpm. The Superveloce AGO is a desirable object, a museum piece that can burn up the asphalt. It doesn’t need justification; it asserts itself through pure emotion. A bold gamble, in the image of the Schiranna factory.
