What do you get when MV Agusta's racing department decides to unleash the horses with absolutely no homologation constraints? An F3 XX that pushes the limits of the Varese triple into territory reserved for pure track addicts. Forget the RC special editions and their flashy liveries. Here, the Reparto Corse didn't just dress up a sportbike to make it desirable. They stripped it to the bone, shed weight, stuffed it with racing components, then rebuilt it with a single objective: absolute performance between the curbs.

The first number that hits you is the weight. 145 kg dry for a 798 cm3. To put that in perspective, it's barely heavier than a road-ready Yamaha YZF-R 125. The recipe is well known but rarely taken this far: full carbon fairing, carbon rear subframe, carbon engine case protectors, and even an SC Project exhaust straight from WorldSSP. The tubular steel trellis frame, bolted to its aluminum plates, has been put on a strict diet. Every superfluous gram has been hunted down and eliminated. And nestled in that razor-sharp chassis, the Italian triple develops 160 horsepower at 13,000 rpm. The power-to-weight ratio flirts with that of prototypes. This is something rare.
On the rolling chassis side, MV Agusta spared no expense. The 43 mm inverted fork receives Öhlins cartridges, while a TTX36 shock from the same brand manages the rear with 123 mm of travel. An Öhlins steering damper completes the package. The brakes step up to Brembo T-Drive with two 320 mm discs in radial mounting at the front and four-piston calipers. The whole lot is shod in 120/70-17 and 180/55-17, classic supersport sizes. The seat, perched at 805 mm, and the 16-liter tank confirm the machine's track-only vocation. No question of going for a Sunday ride. This MV will never see the road.
The electronics drive the point home. The MecTRonik ECU packs an inertial measurement unit and allows fine-tuning of traction control, anti-wheelie, and launch control. The quickshifter is adjustable. The color TFT display shows a mountain of data, fed by dedicated sensors that measure suspension work, brake pressure, oil temperatures and pressures. The onboard telemetry, with data logging and integrated GPS, puts this F3 XX on the level of a factory machine. The amateur rider has the same tools as a professional to analyze and improve.
Then there's the price. 68,000 euros, or four times the cost of the standard F3 800. A sum that places the XX in the very exclusive circle of exceptional track weapons, alongside the Yamaha R1 GYTR, the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R Ryuyo, the Aprilia RSV4 X, and the BMW HP4 Race. Limited-series production reinforces the exclusive nature of the proposition. This MV Agusta F3 XX is aimed neither at beginners nor weekend riders. It targets experienced riders, those who have already worn through countless tires and are looking for a radical, lightweight, and technologically refined track tool. Against competitors often equipped with larger four-cylinder engines, the Italian triple plays the agility and engine character card. A quintessentially MV Agusta bet, one that will leave no one indifferent once the visor drops and the first straight is devoured at 280 km/h on the dash.
