Overview
50 years for the KX range. Hard to believe, and yet, this family has been chewing up dirt and bumps for half a century. This family, not the manufacturer... Because Kawasaki started winning Motocross races as early as 1963, with the 125 B8M. Since then, models and performance have followed one another, as have innovations.
Like the Uni-Trak suspension concept, its own variable ratio system with linkages. Why am I telling you this? Because this special edition of the KX 250 is decorated with a few well-chosen symbols: a Uni-Trak sticker on the swingarm, a KX logo in the 90s style with a fun-fuchsia touch, mounting points for number plates and a blue seat whose shade is borrowed from a 1990 model – a beautiful period apparently.
With the KX 50th Anniversary series (250 and 450) and the special editions of sportbikes ZX-10R, ZX-6R 636 and ZX-4RR 40th, Kawasaki demonstrates its attachment to key moments in its history. Among the other modifications to this KX 250, we observe a 50th Anniversary logo placed next to the front number plate. Also, on the special edition, the fork and rear caliper protectors change from black to white.
Back to the KX logo for a little anecdote: the background "splash" motif was originally created by dripping ink onto paper. This aspect has been reproduced using modern digital techniques. This Kawasaki KX 250 40th Anniversary thinks as much of the late 20th century as it does of the end of it. Then, for the rider, why not start by remembering Stefan Everts in ‘95 and then enjoy an exciting machine with a beautiful dose of power and agility?!
