Overview
For years now, the Varadero 125 has valiantly defended the chances of the road trail in the 125 class. A beautiful machine, expensive, rewarding, ready for the road but a little heavy for its (excellent) small 125cc V-twin. Honda didn't miss the mark with this version 2 of the XLV 125. The more elegant and aggressive design suits this new version very well. A touch of CBR 125 in the headlight, shoulders reminiscent of the Transalp 650 blending curves and taut lines, beautiful CBF 600-style lights, a very nice complete dashboard - it's beautiful, sexy, complete; and in addition, it is equipped with PGM-FI injection.
Like the 2007 CBR 125, the engine is now equipped with injection. This is the only modification to this 15 hp engine. A very good engine that does not disappoint; but pulling 169 kg when wet, the twin-cylinder begins to struggle a little. It will need to be ridden like the old one: pushed in the revs to be exploited correctly. Let's be satisfied: the Varadero, with its injection, meets Euro 3 and should gain in consumption. In its DX (deluxe) version, the 125 Varadero inherits an engine guard, a two-tone seat, chrome trim for the meters and an embossed logo.
To create a small (and heavy) custom GT, Honda options allow you to prepare the Varadero for travel: - A large top case with a capacity of 45 liters designed to be installed on the original luggage rack via a key locking system. - A pair of heated grips equipped with a temperature adjustment system. - A center stand - An aluminum handlebar riser for a more adventurous look. - A U-shaped anti-theft lock designed to easily fit under the passenger seat. - A pre-shaped cover that protects the machine from rain and prying eyes.
